We are so excited to welcome you to our beautiful new studio in the Marina. Each of our experienced instructors has a unique personality so we encourage you to explore and take from everyone. Our mission is the same: Deliver a high energy, fun, full body, kick-ass workout in 50 minutes. Instructors choreograph their classes so you'll never get the same class twice. We use current and retro playlists to set the vibe and even have a disco ball to really get you in the mood! We can't wait to meet you at korFIT!
Tereza thrives on the intensity of a good workout. In her classes, participants can expect quick setups, slow and deliberate movements, and the added challenge of weights to increase intensity. She focuses on creating a fun atmosphere where emphasis is placed on proper form and the crucial mind-muscle connection. Join Tereza in sculpting bodies and lifting spirits together, making every session an empowering journey.
In Olivia's classes, you can expect a challenging yet motivating workout focused on engaging both your body and mind. Her favorite focus areas include hamstrings, glutes, and shoulders. Olivia is a midwesterner who relocated to the west coast for college and has been in SF for over a year and a half now. When she's not teaching barre or working her full time corporate job, you can find her at country music concerts, in Napa with girlfriends or reading multiple books at a time (she is always reading three: typically a romance or thriller, nonfiction & an autobiography). Olivia looks forward to either meeting you for the first time or welcoming you back as a familiar face in class!
Brigid started taking her mom’s barre classes in high school as strength training for cheerleading and dance, so her love for this exercise started early on. During her undergrad years at Chico State, she became a certified dance aerobics instructor which introduced her to the art of teaching group fitness (it IS an art!). She started taking barre classes again when she moved back to San Francisco and jumped at the opportunity to teach barre in 2023.
When she's not on the mic, she's running, hiking, or working as a pediatric speech-language pathology assistant.
Marin has taught fitness for over 15 years -- she started in Los Angeles with private training and barre classes, then made her way to Dallas, TX where she owned and operated a busy barre studio in the burbs for almost a decade. She's been featured in Women's Health and US Weekly magazines and TV interviews. Her love of movement started early on, growing up dancing and swimming competitively. She loves the ability to support and be inspired by clients as a fitness instructor...especially at this dynamic korFIT studio. She moved to San Francisco recently with her husband and dog (a doodle) and gave birth to a baby boy two months later. She's enjoying this new chapter of motherhood, both the magical and the messy.
Cynthia is a San Francisco based fitness enthusiast and creative professional. She has been teaching group exercise since 2007 and holds certifications in a wide range of fitness modalities. Cynthia believes in the power of exercise and how it benefits your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. She embraces a diverse range of activities, including barre, running, cycling, TRX, yoga, and weight-lifting. With a husband and two kids in tow, staying active is a family affair – they're living life to the fullest and enjoying all things San Francisco has to offer.
Jen has been teaching barre based fitness since 2002. It is “the only thing I’m really good at” and it’s also why she wanted to open a studio. Teaching is such a gift - she gets so much joy out of it. Helping clients get stronger, improve their posture, increase their flexibility, give them more energy and confidence so they can live a happier life are just a few of the reasons she’s made a career out of teaching. She loves to make people laugh, feel seen, heard, and supported. Outside of korFIT, Jen loves to walk her dog, sip on champagne and oysters, take beach vacations, buy whatever Instagram tells her she needs, and try not to make her college age kids cringe. Too late.
Melissa is the co-owner of korFIT and has been teaching barre classes since 2009. Melissa has a down-to-earth approach to teaching her classes and has taught in various studios in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Nashville, Tennessee. When she's not at korFIT or her full-time job as a Chief People Officer, she's likely chasing her 3 young children around a soccer field in Marin.
Claire has been teaching barre since 2012 but has been taking barre classes for much longer. Teaching is fun and rewarding, and she is thankful for all the connections made along the way. When not at the studio, she enjoys taking long walks on the beach or hiking with her home slice (her super cute dog). Her favorite things include working out with friends, live music, reading, wine, and sushi, which she could eat every single day of her life.
Stephanie is a dedicated fitness professional with a rich background in competitive sports. Before teaching, she was a competitive synchronized swimmer and a nationally competitive rower. Clearly, she enjoys exercise and group sports, but she began her teaching career at a popular boutique barre studio in the Marina district of San Francisco and then transitioned to the Downtown studio during the pandemic. Being part of that teaching community instilled in her a deep appreciation for precision and discipline, and she carries this into her classes at korFIT. While all her classes have barre at their core, Stephanie loves to infuse other exercise styles into her classes, including Pilates, HIIT, and strength.
When she isn't working or preparing for classes, Stephanie enjoys binge-watching shows and cheering on her daughter during volleyball matches.
