How korFIT was born

How did korFIT come to be?  Melissa and I both taught for a well-known boutique barre studio in the Marina (2001 for me, 2009 for her).  Over the years we flirted with the idea of opening up our studio, but it wasn't the right time. Marriage, business school for her, moves, kids, etc.  Fast forward post-pandemic I'm teaching outdoor classes in the Presidio and Melissa becomes a client.  The space I was using would no longer be available, so we jokingly decided to go into business together.  We both love to exercise and teach, and we missed that Marina community that was so special.  In a few short weeks, we walked through our current space immediately after Melissa negotiated our lease.  We opened on April 8th, 2024.  I still can't believe how fast we made this happen.  We had a lot of things go our way and for that, we are extremely grateful.  We hope you love our space as much as we do. Our team, the workout, and that wonderful community that we all missed so much.  Thank you for being a part of it!
